Dr. Bettahalasooru Somashekar

Dr. Bettahalasooru Somashekar S graduated from Vijayanagar Institute of Medical sciences, Bellary. He was affiliated for ten years with NIMHANS(National Institute of Mental Health Sciences, Bengaluru), where he obtained his MD(Psychiatry), Diploma in Psychiatry and Directorate of National Board (DNB) in psychiatry and worked in community Psychiatry. He has also obtained PGDMLE (Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics) from National Law School University, Bengaluru. Has been working as consultant Psychiatrist at Coventry and Warwickshire partnership , NHS Trust, United Kingdom. He has authored many scientific publications in National and International journals and written several chapters for books. His special interests include phenomenology, stress, mental illness, ethics legal and ethical aspects of medicine. Has keen interest in teaching, training and promoting doctors’ well being.
